Conference Overview
The multidisciplinary field of protein quality control (PQC) permeates almost every experimental paradigm of basic biomedical sciences, including aging biology and age-associated diseases. Founded in the early discoveries of molecular chaperone functions, the EMBO workshop “Protein Quality Control: From molecular mechanisms to aging and disease” broadly explores mechanisms and machineries of protein homeostasis from ribosome-associated and post-translational protein folding to assembly, transport and degradation, and identifying the key early steps in diseases of protein misfolding and aggregation. This workshop offers participants at all career stages extensive opportunities for active scientific exchange with leaders in the field. The program features multiple oral presentations to be selected from submitted abstracts, allowing young scientist to present their research.
